Day Ten. Coming Clean- just in time for the Gras.

DAY TEN

CONFESSION TIME.

Forgive me Dilwee for I have sinned..

Went to see Valentines Day with Mad Jono..

'bec would you like some popcorn'
'no thanks'
'really I have heaps'
'no no i'm fine thanks'
'oh right you have that 12 week challenge with dil huh'
'um.. yeah but i'm actually full I just had maccas'

First week!? More like first WEAK. It has not been a great week for me, but as I say to my clients, time to forgive, forget and forge forward. I like a bit of alliteration in clinic practice, it keeps things interesting.

I have made several trips to the grocery store this week and I am consuming a veritable plethora of whole grains and sprouts. I have missed sprouts. The problem lies however with the consumption of said wholegrains for my eeeevening meal. Not enjoying my meat, finding a meal in the evening sans CHO and high in protein has been- actually lets not lie, i've been too lazy to make good meals in the evening... FOR EXAMPLE.

Monday dinner, tuna (good!) corn (okay!) brown rice (mmmm not such a great idea for tea..) and shitloads of vegetable stock (okay this is going awry).

This week I have learnt 'shitload', although a standardized unit of measure, is not an appropriate standardized unit of measure in cooking.

I need to get my shit together, I do this for A LIVING and have no excuses!

As aforementioned I have also adhered to my mini-goal to eat an apple a day. My problem has been my freight train out of control lifestyle which has resulted in my consumption function slamming up the richter scale, 8.8... Blame it on the a-a-a-a-a-a-alcohol..

Good news abounds however;

Becfucious say:
Week two will smash weak one.

As Emiliana Torrini would say, today has been okay. I banned my breakfast in an attempt to increase my protein intake and decrease the CHO etc. Instead this morning I decided to take the advice I dish out EVERY DAY and I made a shake with psyllium. Lunch consisted of soy and linseed with sprouts, beetroot, tomato, avocado (can't help it..!) and...

DUN DUN DUNNNN..

Chicken, in a can.

It puts the 'chat' in chat roulette that is for sure. I have not seen a brighter hue of pink since last years Mardi Gras. Knowing that my lunch time consumption of protein was essential to my success, I coated it in beetroot juice and managed to eat at least a few bites.

I have taken up using the elliptical whilst watching TV.

Did I mention its creme egg season? Yeah... It is...

Well. I'm struggling to smell the trophy being so far away from it, but I can smell freshly cut grass, suburban dew, and the light salty aroma of morning sweat.
